The Brooklyn Community Chorus (BCC), founded in September 2001 is a self-governing, egalitarian organization, open to singers from diverse backgrounds, ages, and musical experiences. BCC is dedicated to exploring a variety of musical styles, including classical, spiritual, motown, showtunes, doo-wop, jazz & pop, and performed in both large group and smaller ensemble settings.

Founded and directed by the late Marlene Clary, BCC focuses on vocal and choral techniques, mastering the variety of musical styles, creating a sense of musical and group harmony, and having serious fun.

Performances are held a few times year at our home location and around the Brooklyn community.

For the spring 2010 season, BCC will be co-directed by Ethan Schlesser and Steven Coburn.
